Federal Budget Forgets Canada’s Screen Industry, March 20th, 2019 - Toronto, ON -- Yesterday’s federal budget announcement was an opportunity to invest further in Canadian recorded media creators, as has been done in recent federal budgets. ACTRA and ACTRA Recording Artists’ Collecting Society (RACS) were pleased to see the $20 million provision over two years for the Canada Music Fund, as well as other arts and culture budget measures, but were disappointed Canada’s screen-based industries were overlooked.
